Update on Strawberry Upick

We will have our strawberry upick open (possibly one last day)at the Heavy Tree Road location this Tuesday, August 11th. Feel free to call ahead - 747-FARM. Depending on how many berries are left, we may not even be open for the entire day.

August 9th update - New produce, raspberry upick and corn maze

It's been a great summer and we are in full harvest swing! It has been a very good growing season and probably the best we've had.

Our RASPBERRY upick is also open now. We are hoping that this will be open for a couple of weeks.

All of the above are grown on our farm on Brookfield road. We do also carry a supply of imported fruits and vegetables that can't be grown in Newfoundland (although we wish we could) and of course we have our ice cream and petting barn.

Our famous CORN MAZE is also open for the year --- so drop by and get lost. :)

Note: *Keep in mind that our supply may be limited depending on the weather that particular day.

New produce available

The summer harvest is in full swing and it's hard to believe it is July 13th already. Although it has been a dry summer at times, it has also been a great summer for us and things are growing very well. Right now we have our own strawberries, lettuces, cabbage, white turnip, spinach, broccoli, kale, collards, green onions, swiss chard and herbs. We will be digging potatoes on Thursday or Friday (hopefully), so our hope is to have them on the shelves for Saturday.

Our strawberry u-pick will also be opening July 15th. The u-pick will be running from two locations, both from our market and a second location (u-pick) on Heavy Tree road. This is our second year from this location. The location is on the Heavy Tree Road that is off of Ruby line and not as far down as the overpass. There is a sign on the road for reference.

Check back often for more updates. We also took some pictures of our fields this week and will be posting them soon as well.

Our first weekend open!

So our first weekend open was great. We hope that you got a chance to visit. There are lots of gorgeous annuals, perennials and vegetable plants, trees and shrubs.

We will be posting on our website the approximate harvest dates for the year very soon. Keep in mind that our weather is unpredictable...so the dates may change quite often. Also note that we have some new furry friends in our petting barn, so make sure you drop in to say 'hi'. Especially to "Tetley" our new pot belly pig -- who is full of personality and loves meeting new people!

Our first blog ever!

This is a test of our new blog. You can look forward to updates throughout the year on our available produce. Our hope is to update this on a regular basis as our harvest dates can change on a daily basis.

Note that we are re-opening on May 29th and cannot wait to see everyone again.
